Pillar 1 - Values and Governance
The DNA of any organisation is defined by its Values and Code of Conduct. However, simply stating
them is not sufficient, it must imbibe in all aspects of a company’s decisions and
activities on an ongoing basis. Recognising the importance of Values, we are constantly engaged in
both creating awareness and actualization of its values across its employees by conducting
LSIP (large scale interactive process) with the goal to create the right
framework within the organisation where-in all employees of JSPL make values a part of their
everyday lives, both personal and professional. Also, we ensure efficient and ethical operations
both in business dealing and people management practices in order to live our Code of Conduct.
Pillar 2 – Top Talent Management and Succession Planning
The objective is to identify and nurture top talent to ensure a robust leadership pipeline within
the organisation through Assessment/ Development Centres, Gap Analysis, Performance/ Potential
Mapping, Individual Development Planning, Executive Coaching, Mentoring, Strategic workshops, Job
Rotations, Rising Star Identification Program, Jindal Lead Management Trainee Program (JLMT) and
the like.
Pillar 3 – Leadership Development
Leaders across the organisation are covered through various leadership development programs. Our
flagship programmes: “Leadership Exploration And Development” (LEAD), “Young
Leaders Program” (YLP) and “Advanced Leadership Program” are designed to build
on the four core elements of the Jindal Leadership model– Lead people in a meritocracy with
respect and care, Act with utmost integrity and loyalty, Uphold our social responsibility through
sustainable development, Achieve business excellence through process rigour, strategic thinking
and innovation. These help create a culture within the organisation which allows its people to

Pillar 4 – Functional Excellence
Our endeavor is to continuously build functional and operational excellence based on business
strategy and growth plan. Some of the programs that we currently do are on subjects like Business
Finance, Project Management, Strategy Execution, Cost Optimisation, Customer Centricity, etc.
Also, the Learning Management System (LMS) of Group Companies of JSPL –
‘GyanDrishti’ offers a self learning platform with a new dimension to the learning
techniques having interactive courseware and wide range of information on various behavioral,
functional, and technical subjects. This platform helps in promoting a strong learning culture, an
environment of seamless learning, professionalism, improved employee engagement and increased
functional and technical capabilities. Apart from this we also do a host of employee engagement
activities with focus on people practices, communication and rewards and recognition.
